LHC Theory Workshop

This is a satellite workshop immediately preceding ICHEP 2012. The aim of the meeting is to bring together theorists to discuss the latest LHC physics in what promises to be an exciting year for particle physics with the possible discovery of the Higgs boson and updates to many Beyond the Standard Model searches at the LHC.

Registration:

There is no registration fee, but attendance will be limited to approximately 50 participants. Sponsored by the ARC Centre of Excellence for Particle Physics at the Terascale and the University of Melbourne.

Reception:

A welcome reception will be held 6:00-8:00 pm on Monday 2nd July at the University House at the Woodward.

Travel from the Airport to Melbourne:

Melbourne International Airport is located 20km north-west of the city centre. The city centre can be easily accessed by taxi or Skybus.

TAXI: A taxi from the airport to the city centre will cost around $45 (credit card payments attract an additional 10% service fee).

SKYBUS: This bus service costs $17 per adult one way and $28 return. The Skybus departs every 15 - 30 minutes and depending on the time of day will drop you off at your hotel or at the main terminus at Southern Cross Station. Please allow 20 - 40 minutes travel time to the city centre depending on the time of day. Trams:
